We play games, have food, engage in Bible study, hang out with friends, and occasionally do out trips to places like the high prairie corn maze or little smoky ski hill!

Awana is a Kid's club program that includes Kindergarten to Grade 6. In our Valleyview club, we run from 7-8:30pm on Tuesday nights at Emmanuel Baptist Church. These club nights are packed with lots of fun games for the kids to play and also work on skills such as memorization as they work through handbooks in small groups with other kids in their age category. It is an excellent way for your kids to connect with other kids in the community while also promoting learning, fun, and moral growth as we work through Biblical lessons. That's not all though! Sometimes we even do theme nights or big events like the famous Awana Car Race, Awana Fair, and Awana Christmas Party which are events for the whole family!
Club nights starts at 7pm so usually parents bring children about 10 minutes before so we can start right on time. We start by lining up along our game square where we present the flags and sing O Canada followed by our Awana pledge. Then there will be some brief announcements before we split off in to our different groups. The Sparks group (Grade K-2) will start off with 30 minutes of game time. while the T & T group (Grades 3-6) does handbook time. The groups will then switch. Finally, for the last 20 minutes, we gather together for the 20 minutes for large group time time where present awards to kids who have completed portions of their handbooks and listen to a lesson prepared by our commander or one of our amazing leaders. After dismissal, we proceed in an orderly fashion up to the doors for parents to pick up their kids at 8:30pm.
